  • Narrative Film: A fiction film that tells a story or depicts an event. The style and genre are open.

  • Animated Film: A narrative or non-narrative film in which more than 70% of the content is created using animation techniques.

  • Documentary Film: A film created with the intention of documenting real-life events, people, or situations.

  • Experimental Film: An avant-garde film that prioritizes artistic expression over conventional storytelling and is not bound by traditional narrative structures.

 
 
 

Golden Ger Award

  • Includes the Golden ger Trophy and a cash prize of 3,000,000 MNT.

  • We search films for the competition where the filmmaker expresses their inner voice with creative originality.

Digicon6 Mongolia Gold

  • Awarded to a film under 15 minutes in length.

  • Animated films have an advantage in this category.

  • Winning this award grants entry into the Digicon6 ASIA Festival held in Tokyo, Japan, where the film will compete against other Asian finalists.

  • Travel expenses for one representative are covered.

  • Since partnering with Digicon6 ASIA in 2020, Altan Urgoo has sent 4 films to Tokyo, one of which won an award.

Mailuki Films International Distribution Award

  • Offered by Mailuki Films, a Spanish distribution company.

  • Provides international festival distribution for the selected film.

  • Past Mailuki-distributed films have won major accolades such as the Sundance Short Film Grand Jury Prize, the Goya Award, and 3 films have qualified for the Oscar shortlist.
